AN ANSWERED PRAYER

I didn’t think He heard me,

I swore He wasn’t there,

But then you walked into my life

And I had an answered prayer.

I thought it couldn’t happen

There was no one who would care

Until the day you smiled at me

And I had an answered prayer.

I didn’t know I could be happy

I thought God had been unfair

Till I felt your arms around me

And I had an answered prayer.

Now I’m counting all my blessings

Because He made us a pair

I’ll thank God every day I live
