It was determined before our birth
That our two souls would roam this earth
Our search would end when we finally meet
And then our quest would be complete.
Our hearts divided would join as one
When we meet, His will shall be done.
There’s no escaping our destined love
It’s not ours to deny, it came from above.
It can not be conquered, it can not be changed
It can not be questioned, this plan was arranged.
God spoke to the angels, of a love that would be
More precious than gold, and it’s for you and me.
He taught us hard lessons, but He helped us grow
So when the time comes, the real thing we’d know.
He let us take paths that led to mistakes
But His hand gently guided us, for both of our sakes
We learned that loving may come with a price
But there’s nothing on earth, that would ever suffice.
Our love for each other is strong deep and wide
It will last through all ages, it can’t be denied.
His hand, still it guides us, straight to heaven’s door
Where we’ll live forever, and love ever more.
